We are Actif Inc. a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company founded in 2016 in Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada that provides an online solution for bookkeeping and general accounting. Our mission is to make Canada’s SMB’s everyday work lives easier.

Actif is an accounting software that offers basic functions free of charge. Additional modules such as Advanced Accounting and Bookkeeping, Confidential Document Sharing, Project Management, Freight Brokers and Employee Payroll are available on a monthly subscription basis. Our company is active in about ten sectors of activity, such as transportation and retail trade.

The Story Behind the Name

Our name Actif (French for asset) is intended to reflect an element that generates resources and has a positive economic value for companies. This link with general accounting is in fact much more than just symbolic.

CEO of Logiciel Actif Inc, Sébastien has been working in the field of IT for over 20 years. He has always been driven by a very strong entrepreneurial spirit. That’s why when a client requested an IT tool that would make his business management easier, Lagacé thought of creating a new application that would meet his client’s exact needs.

To make the everyday work lives of Canada’s SMB’s easier, he decided in 2016 to create Logiciel Actif inc., using a purposefully customer-oriented philosophy. The nerve-center of Actif was built completely from scratch, based mainly on customer feedback.

His experience in programming, backed by an academic background in the field of technology, makes him a trusted partner for all your IT software-as-a-service (SaaS) needs.

Benoit Larocque, BBA
Benoit Larocque, BBAStrategic Business Consultant
Benoit holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) in Montreal, obtained in 1987. He began his career as a programmer by developing a complete accounting software package in both an “MS DOS” and a “Windows” version. His extensive knowledge in this particular field allows him to actively participate in the development of Actif and of its many additional modules.

As an experienced entrepreneur, Benoit has a perfect understanding of the business world and its realities, whether for small, medium or large companies, which makes him one of Actif’s pillars.

A programmer at heart, he’ll know how to best advise you regarding your IT business strategy.
